Who we are
This website is all about Andy Salkeld and what he is doing to promote and support mental health amongst professionals.
What originally started as a creative outlet whilst enjoying his spare time, has now become something far greater and with much more purpose
Andy believes in breaking the stigma of mental health in the professional work place culture and supporting those who need help.

What our beliefs mean to us
Individuality
Everyday you hear people talk about work-life balance, or refer to their working life and their social life.
We believe that we all just have one life and if we aren't true to ourselves, then we are lying both to ourselves and those we interact with on a daily basis.
Your personality is your own and you should be proud of who you are irregardless of background, race, belief and everything else.
Always be yourself.
Integrity
During our day-to-day lives we are often faced with choices. Sometimes these choices are easy. Sometimes these choices make us think.
There are even choices where we believe in one choice, but we are asked to make an alternative because of outside pressures i.e. work.
By succumbing to these outside pressures or ideals and starting to make choices we wouldn't naturally make it can lead to a compromised personality and belief system that can have a lasting effect.
Be true to what you believe.
Honesty
From a young age we are taught that lying is bad as you can hurt other people. We then grow older and realise sometimes lies must be told to protect others.
However we never consider that sometimes not communicating something, or communicating something incorrectly can hurt ourselves.
Living a life with regrets about what could or should have been said can have a lasting impact on us. If you feel something needs to be said, then your should be comfortable knowing you can say it.
Speak your mind without regret.
Vulnerability
We all have different strengths and weaknesses. We can all figure out our comfort zones and know where we are happiest.
However; facing our fears, facing our weaknesses, being honest about where we are not strong, allows us to build deeper and more meaningful relationships.
Sharing our weaknesses with others builds trust and through trust we can all grow and become stronger together.
Our weaknesses give us strength.
Equality
Judging people by their race, their beliefs or the colour of their skin is no different than judging people based on what clothes they wear, the sense of fashion, the hobbies they enjoy.
Regardless of nature or nurture, we are still part of the human race. We are one of few species on our planet with real emotional intelligence and we should use that for good.
Be a good person, be mindful of those around you.
We are all the same.
Enjoyment
We have but one life and unfortunately it is finite. Everything we choose to do requires time, so we should try to maximise the enjoyment of our decisions and lives.
You cannot change the past and your can't foresee the future, so live in the present and make sure it's the most enjoyable present.
Life is for living. Enjoy it.
